Military Service & Extra Social Security Benefits up to $1200 per year!

Did you know that there is an extra benefit when it comes to social security and your military service – up to $1200 per year? From 1957 forward there was a program that covered active duty service and starting in 1988 it expanded to include reserve components that did such things as weekend drills. The program is broken down by time periods and you must have been honorably discharged or currently active. If you fall into one of the groups by year for service between 1957 and 2001 (they stopped adding these extra benefits) There are a few rules but the program gives you extra social security work credits.
